Ideally, many consumers would like to replace their vanity but fear that the cost would get overwhelming quickly. There are 3 ways to buy a new vanity; through a cabinet manufacturer, a ready to assemble company, and a retailer/ home décor store. Cabinet manufacturers offer a traditional built-in cabinet that can be customized. A ready to assemble cabinet line offers in stock-cabinets that save you a ton of money, receive them in a couple of days which results in a brand-new bathroom in less than a month. And lastly, we have the furniture vanities which you can pick up at any décor store; the standalone feature within the vanity draws attention to the decorative legs, the granite countertops and most will incorporate the sink bowl as well like the picture above.

When upgrading your space, you must strike a balance between style and function; there is nothing worse than spending loads of money for a pretty space but it doesn't serve a purpose for your needs. Try incorporating free-standing pantries for linen closets, or shelves underneath a vanity with matching baskets for towels. Or a decorative cabinet over the toilet area. If depth is something you lack in a bathroom, you can always incorporate using floating shelves for items that should be easily accessible.

When you start, begin by creating a color- palette. Introduce textures such as rugs, shower curtains, and hand towels. By removing the fluorescent light and adding a chandelier or sconces you are raising the bar on luxury. Change out your cabinet decorative hardware and plumbing hardware make sure the metal finishes correlate. You can also elevate the boring white 4x4 or 12x12 tile on the floor and tub surround by visiting a local tile shop and selecting a different tile that looks like stone. Add framed mirrors over the vanity bowls for a little more finished look. And complete the look by adding some personal touches such as paintings or portraits framed the same color or monogrammed hand towels.
