In January 2020 customer Amy Goff and her husband approached Prime Cabinetry with a plan to remodel their kitchen. It was a long-overdue makeover and they were eager to make a drastic change to the house.
“We purchased our home about 7 years ago as a fixer-upper.” Amy Said when she first came to us.
Since then, they have been tackling a new project each year. These projects have been inside and outside the house over the years as they’ve wanted to consistently improve the value of their home.
Planning & Budgeting
Amy decided pretty quickly hiring a contractor was out of budget for them and what they wanted to accomplish with the remodel.
“With no renovation experience we went to hire a contractor, but quickly realized we would be over budget in no time. So, we decided to move forward on our own.” Amy Said.
This is very common and is one of the more important decisions our customers have to make when deciding to remodel their kitchen or bath. While Prime Cabinetry highly recommends hiring a contractor/professional if you have never remodeled a kitchen before, it is possible to DIY.
“After a lot of research and meeting with multiple different companies, we decided Prime Cabinetry would be the right fit for us.” Amy Said.
The best thing for Amy’s remodel was that she was personally thorough in her research throughout the entire process. In addition, even though they did not hire a contractor, Amy utilized our free design and quote services to ensure she was ordering the correct cabinets, trims, and moldings needed to bring her dream kitchen to life.
Remodeling During A Pandemic
As the design was finalized it was all becoming more real, and the cabinets were ordered in late February. The Goff family started demoing their kitchen just about the time COVID-19 was sweeping the US. Tension and stress were rising as this was of course a major wrench being thrown into the kitchen remodel. While there was a week or two of unknowns no one could have predicted, Prime Cabinetry remained in constant contact with Amy to ensure she knew the help was there to keep her remodel on track.
“I liked the personal customer service I received. I spoke to a live person every time I called (no automated recordings) who was familiar with my project and was willing to offer advice and support.” Amy Said.
When it came time for installation, Amy decided to take us up on utilizing one of Prime Cabinetry’s local installers. This kept the project running smoothly even during a pandemic and quarantine.
Choosing Prime Cabinetry
Overall, Amy was very pleased with the entire process from start to finish. She felt confident enough to order cabinets online when she had never completed a kitchen remodel before. At Prime Cabinetry we pride ourselves in instilling confidence in every customer for that exact reason. Thus, for Amy, choosing Prime Cabinetry was a no brainer.
“Prime Cabinetry had the best prices of all the cabinet companies we met with. I sat down with a designer, Jordan, who listened to my wants and needs. After reviewing my project board, budget, measurements, etc. she captured my vision in a 3-D rendering that brought my dream kitchen to life.” Amy Said.
Worth The Wait
Sometimes it can be tough to see the light at the end of the tunnel during a remodel. Especially amidst a crazy time like an unexpected world wide pandemic. When you're living without a kitchen you might even forget why you wanted to do this in the first place. To anyone looking to purchase from Prime Cabinetry Amy says,
“Make a list of all the things you like and don’t like about your current kitchen, create a project board for inspiration, develop a budget, and gather all your measurements. Prime will help you with the rest!”
At Prime Cabinetry, our job is to assure each and every customer they are making the right choice when ordering cabinets from us. We are so happy Amy’s remodel was a success! She loves her new kitchen and has called it a gathering place for family, a conversation piece for visitors, and says,
“We couldn’t be happier with the results and are proud to recommend Prime Cabinetry to those looking to renovate.”
